RANDOM SUMMER NEWS
New Staff Members:
Ryan Panter will be working with the Front Ensemble and Pit this year. Ryan comes to us from Wren High School where he served as the Drum Line Instructor. He will also be assisting the drum line and working to help establish our Winter Drum Line Program
Benji Alsep will be working with us this year as a marching and visual instructor. Benji is a Senior as Anderson University and has worked with a number of area bands.
New Band Director Position:
The School District has approved a new full time position for an additional band director at T.L. Hanna. We have been overwhelmed with the level of interest that this position has created, and hope to be able to make an announcement soon.
Washington DC Trip?:
We are currently filing an application for the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC. This festival is held in April and will feature invited high school marching bands from each state. We should hear from the selection committee in September.
Jazz Band to Chicago:
We are also applying for a return trip to the New Trier Jazz Festival in Chicago. This Festival is in early February.
Water:
All Band Members are asked to bring a small water bottle/cooler to camp this year marked with your name. We are also asking each band family to donate two cases of water for camp. Water may be dropped off when students report to camp or during drum line week which starts on July 23rd.
