Reminders and Random News items.
Students who need to check out school horns and equipment may do so after June 1st. Please call the band room or see Mr. Nowell to fill out the paperwork and pick up what you need.
The Band Room will be ready for occupancy on July 1st. We will be looking for volunteers for a "moving day" very soon after this to get ready for band camp. The expanded room is looking great!
As in the past, we will be asking for bottle water donations for band camp. Students will be asked to donate two twelve packs when they report for camp. Look for information on this in the summer mailings.
The summer band camp "Cook Out" will be on Thursday, July 28th at 4:00 pm. Parents and all friends of the Hanna Bands are invited. We will have "sign ups" for all of the booster club committees and information on how everyone can become involved. Please mark this date now and look for more information soon!
JAZZ BAND STUDENTS: If you are interested in going to the SWU Jazz Camp please e-mail Greg Day at gday@swu.edu. There are also links on the SCBDA web site at www.bandlink.org that contains information on this important event. The camp dates are June 6-9.
All of the directors and staff are working daily on our show for the fall. Preparations are being made for camp and all of the school instruments and equipment are being repaired and cleaned. Our booster club officers are meeting and making plans and working to prepare for the biggest and best year ever for the Hanna Bands!
We will be posting updates to the schedule which will include contest locations in the near future. Please keep checking the web site for information!
